Kalkidan Worku, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong academic background and a passion for providing patient-centered dermatologic care. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Family Medicine from Washington State University, graduating with a 3.97 GPA. She previously received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington in Seattle. Kay began her career as a registered nurse on a medical-surgical unit at a Multicare Health System hospital near Seattle, where she gained two years of hands-on clinical experience. During her graduate training, she completed a clinical rotation in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, deepening her interest and expertise in the specialty. She also earned a graduate certificate in nursing leadership, highlighting her commitment to advancing healthcare through both clinical excellence and leadership. She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and the Oregon Society of Dermatology Associates. Kay is dedicated to delivering compassionate care with empathy, and she takes great pride in educating her patients about their skin conditions to help them feel informed and empowered in their treatment journey. Outside of her clinical work, Kay enjoys traveling, cooking, playing tennis, and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
