Leah Herman, PA-C, MPH
Leah Herman, PA-C, MPH, is a dermatology-trained physician assistant dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for a wide range of medical dermatologic conditions. She brings a unique background in dermatology, wound care, and public health, allowing her to approach skin health with a well-rounded and evidence-based perspective.
Leah earned her Master of Clinical Health Services from MEDEX Northwest at the University of Washington and holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Elon University, graduating cum laude.
Before specializing in dermatology, Leah gained experience as a Skin and Wound Care Specialist, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across skilled nursing facilities and home care settings. Her clinical experience included evaluating and treating complex wounds, performing minor surgical procedures, developing individualized treatment plans, and working alongside specialists in dermatology, podiatry, vascular surgery, and infectious disease.
Leah is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy skin through personalized treatment plans grounded in education, collaboration, and the latest advances in dermatologic care. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, where she is currently completing the Diplomate Fellowship Program to further advance her expertise in dermatology.
When caring for patients, Leah strives to create a welcoming environment where every individual feels heard, informed, and confident in their treatment plan. Outside of her professional life, Leah enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with her fiancé.
