Rachel Knox, RN

Registered Nurse

Rachel Knox, RN is a registered nurse with a strong clinical background in dermatology and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. She is currently completing her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, where she maintains a 3.95 GPA. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New England, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Psychology from West Virginia University.
Rachel brings clinical experience across multiple specialties, including dermatology, plastic surgery, and critical care. As a registered nurse, she has worked in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Cardiac ICU at Central Maine Medical Center, providing advanced post-surgical and critical care. Her passion for dermatology led her to hands-on roles in Mohs surgery and plastic surgery, where she assisted with skin cancer treatment, biopsies, wound care, and patient education.
Dedicated to professional growth in dermatologic care, Rachel has completed the American Academy of Dermatology’s Basic Dermatology Course and actively participates in research and advocacy. She has been published in the Journal of Sports Psychology in Action, contributed to dermatology policy initiatives, and volunteered at the American Academy of Dermatology’s Camp Discovery.
At Clear Choice Dermatology, Rachel applies her clinical skills and dermatology experience to support high-quality, evidence-based care. She is especially passionate about skin health education, preventive care, and promoting access to dermatologic services.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys developing patient education materials, volunteering in dermatology outreach programs, and supporting military charities through collaborative projects.
